PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make surely conveyable even a transfer material whose width is shorter than the distance between an intermediate transfer body and a fixing device to the fixing device after an image is transferred. SOLUTION: A transfer material driving device 170 is provided under a carrying part 160 provided with freely turnable spurs 162. Then, when it is judged that the width of a recording paper P separated from a toner image receiving body 14a is equal to or under a prescribed width, a worm wheel WH is normally rotated clockwise once by the power of a motor M and an integrated rod R abuts on a crank lever 172. Thus, the trailing edge of the paper P separated from the receiving body 14a and stopped is backward pushed in the carrying direction by a driving pawl 171 coaxially integrated with the lever 172 so that after the leading edge thereof is made to arrive at a fixing device 17, is returned to an initial position by the action of a twisting spring 173. |
