<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachable and detachable pointing device where switches and pointers are arranged at easy-to-operate positions in the both cases that the device is mounted on a computer system main body and separated therefrom. SOLUTION: Relating to a personal computer 1 a recessed part 5a, where the detachable pointing device 2 is attached, has a shape engaging with the external shape of the detachable pointing device 2 and a switch rod R of the detachable pointing device 2 is pressed against the surface of the recessed part 5a. Further, a changeover switch is connected to the switch rod R to constitute a switch circuit 20 which switches switches SW-Al and SW-A2. Consequently, one of the switches SW-A1 and SW-A2 is switched to an effective state automatically according to the attachment/detachment state of the detachable pointing device.</p> |
