PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent from giving an incongruent feeling to a user even when an HD broadcast is switched to an SD broadcast and to make convenience in selecting a sub-channel excellent. SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting signal after demodulation is separated/ split by a transport part 30 and the signal is outputted to decoders 40 and 60. Data of a packet ID included in the digital broadcasting signal is outputted from the transport part 30. An MPU 80 decides (at a broadcast detection part 81) whether the broadcast is an HD broadcast or an SD broadcast based on the data of the packet ID and, when it decides that it is an SD broadcast, an instruction is given to the transport part 30 so that the sub-channel set inputted is display outputted. Also, the instruction is given to an OSD display control part 110 so that the sub-channel is OSD displayed (at a sub-channel control part 82). |
