PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase difference detecting system autofocusing camera capable of surely detecting a focusing state by using AF(autofocusing) auxiliary light in macro-photographing and rapidly performing focusing. SOLUTION: An auxiliary light emitting device 42 emitting AF auxiliary light is incorporated in a macro-flashing device 40 attached to a photographing lens 30 so as to emit the auxiliary light when it is required for the macro- photographing. When the focusing state is not detected even when the auxiliary light is emitted, detection is tried while driving a focus lens for focusing 31 in order to find out a position where it can be detected, and the auxiliary light is emitted also in the midst of driving the lens 31. When it is made detectable, the lens 31 is driven in accordance with the detected result in order to focus the lens 31, and the focusing state is detected by emitting the auxiliary light even in the midst of driving the lens 31 so as to control the driving in accordance with the detected result. |
