PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power cable provided with semiconductive layers having excellent mechanical and processing characteristic, a volume resistivity value near 10<5>Ω-cm with the temperature of the power cable in the range from room temperature to the vicinity of 130 deg.C, with a narrow range of change. SOLUTION: This electric power cable is formed by providing semiconductive layers 3, 5 to at least one of the inside or the outside of a cross-linked polyethylene insulating layer 4. Here, the semiconductive layers 3, 5 are composed of a composite in which the absorbing amount of dibutylphthalate is in the range from 100 ml/100 g to 160 ml/100 g for ethylene resin 100 pts.wt. having a melting point not more than 100 deg.C obtained using a single-site catalyst, and conductive carbon black being not less than 50 pts.wt. and less than 100 pts.wt. and having the specific surface being not more than 50 m<2> /g is contained.
