PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add the influences of highly effective characters and also to shorten the simulation time by using an image generation means to generate plural objects from the data of a database and an output means to display those generated objects in an image. SOLUTION: A hierarchical management means 106 performs the hierarchical management of character groups contained in a scene database 105 based on the parentage of them. The characters having the relations of parents, children and brothers to a specific character can be easily specified by the means 106. The group model data obtained by abstracting a group having a hierarchical structure are read from a data library 110, and the data can be generated for the hierarchical management. A group state detection means 107 regards the characters having the descendant relation to the specific character as a group and detects the state of the group based on the information stored in the base 105.
