<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic coupling device which is compact in size, long in service life, and inexpensive. SOLUTION: A shaft 5a is formed by winding a strip-like cold-rolled steel sheet as wide as its shaft length A by a multi-forming machine in an annular manner. A joint 51a of the strip-like sheet is provided at a D-cut part 50a, and a step of the joint 51a of the strip-like sheet at the outside diameter is formed so as to be below a specified dimension. The shaft 5a is close to 100% in the yield of the material, inexpensive and possible for mass production. Since the magnetic characteristic of the shaft 5a is higher by approximately 40% than that of a shaft formed of a conventional sintered material, the shaft 5a can be thin-walled to approximately 60% of the conventional value, and thus, an electromagnetic coupling device can be miniaturized. In addition, since the outside diameter of the shaft 5a is reduced, and the peripheral speed due to the rotation with a container 2 is also reduced, the service life can be improved.</p> |
