摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a high-density and clear image by using a photoreceptor obtained by including a perylene based compound as a charge generating material(CGM) in a photosensitive layer and specifying the condition of an image forming process. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor is formed by providing a photosensitive layer 4 consisting of the laminated body of a charge generating layer(CGL) 2 including the CGM and a charge transfer layer(CTL) 3 including a charge transfer material(CTM) on an electrically conductive supporting body 1. The repetitive frequency of the image forming process using the photoreceptor obtained by including the perylene based compound as the CGM in the CGL 2 of the layer 4 is set to be >=1.6 Hz and the total amount of image exposure and discharge light with which the photoreceptor is irradiated is set to be <=0.05 J/cm<2> per ten thousand times of image forming processes. When the image is formed, the image forming processes including the electrifying, the image exposure, the developing, the transfer, the fixing and the cleaning processes and the discharge process of the surface of the photoreceptor obtained before it is electrified by the discharge light, in a digital copying machine and a common machine of a digital copying machine and a printer, can be repeatedly executed at high speed over a long term.
