<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain structure of air conditioner which can prevent the accumulation of dust and the generation of a slime as caused by the accumulated dust on a drain pan or a heat exchanger as much as possible. SOLUTION: A drain pump 8 is provided at a proper point of a drain pan 10 arranged below a heat exchanger 6 and drain water generated in the heat exchanger 6 is discharged outside the machine by the drain pump 8. In a such a type, it is so arranged that the drain water discharged by the drain pump 8 can be recirculated to a part on the upstream side of the drain pan 10. With such an arrangement, when the drain water recirculated to the upstream side of the drain pan 10 flows on the drain pan 10 at a flow velocity toward the downstream from the upstream side, the dust stuck on the drain pan 10 is washed away by the drain water to inhibit the generation of mildew or malodor or the generation of a slime as caused by the accumulated dust.</p> |
