PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sure and stable contact condition with a hard developing roller and to prevent a photoreceptor from being plastically deformed when the photoreceptor abuts on a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a developing roller 21 brought into contact with the central part 11d of the thin cylindrical photoreceptor 11 having flexibility and visualizing a latent image while bending the photoreceptor, and a cleaning blade 31 removing developer remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor; and when the radius of the photoreceptor is defined as R, the Young's modulus of a base material 11a is defined as E, thickness is defined as (t), the abutting linear pressure of the developing roller is defined as WD, the abutting linear pressure of the cleaning blade is defined as WC, the three conditions of 5×10<2> (mm<2> /kgf)<R<3> <1×10<4> (mm<2> /kgf), 1×10<-10> (kgf/ mm)<WD<1×10<-2> (kgf/mm) and 1×10<-3> (kgf/mm)<WC<1×10<-2> (kgf/mm) are satisfied. |
