PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel number converting circuit capable of converting the number of pixels in a digital image composed of a personal computer(PC) signal with high picture quality. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 2 generates an interpolation function and a coefficient memory 3 stores it. The coefficient memory 3 supplies a filter coefficient determined by that interpolation function to an interpolation filter 4. Corresponding to an image signal (source pixel) inputted from an image memory 1 and the filter coefficient inputted from the coefficient memory 3, the interpolation filter 4 interpolates pixels and converts the number of pixels. In the case of PC image, the frequency band of the interpolation filter 4 is made wider than that of image composed of a general video signal. |
