PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform polarity reversion andγ-correction of a display signal in a liquid crystal display device with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 3 is provided with a digital signal source 1 for supplying a display signal consisting of digital signal and a logic circuit 2 for polarity reversing the digital signal from the digital signal source 1 every fixed period of line or field by a lookup table and also simultaneously performingγ-correction of a liquid crystal panel 6. The output of a D/A converter 3 for converting the digital output of the logic circuit 2 to analog signal is supplied to the row electrode driving circuit 4 of the liquid crystal panel 6 for controlling the scanning of a column electrode by a column electrode driving circuit 5.
