Quantitative determination of ionising rays by exposure of several photossensitive emulsions having different sensitivities to those rays followed by treating the emulsions to modify their spectral absorption characteristics as a function of the exposure. The respective emulsion characteristics and their treatment are so chosen that, after exposure and treatment, the spectral absorption characteristics of the various emulsions differ from one another. The process permits a lower Ag content to be used compared to black and white dosimeters and gives an improved colour density and sensitivity. Only two instead of three emulsions need be used and only one support is required for the emulsions.
|
