<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute a load of a server distributing information and to distribute the information efficiently to the user. SOLUTION: A terminal 1 requests music data and information of a desired time of data distribution to a distribution server 2 through a communication channel 3. The distribution server 2 decides a scheduled distribution time depending on the past distribution result and a state of a transmission line based on the desired distribution time from the terminal 1 and sends the decision to the terminal 1. A timer sets the terminal 1 to be in a standby state till the scheduled distribution time comes. When the scheduled distribution time comes, the timer automatically starts the terminal 1, which is set to a distribution waiting state. Then the distribution server 2 distributes the requested music data via a satellite 100. The terminal 1 receives the distributed music data. When reception of data is finished, a power supply of the terminal 1 is turned off.</p> |
