PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire wall type security technology used for a computer network by using a processor which applies a security routine to a communication stream of a user terminal and sending part of the communication stream through a computer security device. SOLUTION: A fire-wall security device 200 includes a processor 205, a communication buffer 210, a peripheral device I/O interface 215, a memory element 220, the fire wall routine 235, an ciphering routine 240, and a connector 245. Then when the fire-wall security device 200 is connected to the user terminal, all communication traffic to and from the user terminal passes through the fire-wall security device 200. Here, the processor 205 facilitates exchange of data communication with the user terminal through the peripheral device I/O interface 215.
