PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the thermal efficiency at the fixing time by imparting heat on toner and a paper sheet, without allowing the heat to escape in air. SOLUTION: When a power source of an image forming device 10 body is turned on, the power source device 30 is turned on, and the power source is applied to a conductive layer 36a and the conductive layer 38a. Consequently, a current is allowed to flow from the conductive layer 38a to the conductive layer 36a across the resistor layer 36b. Since the thermal conductive ratio of the resistor layer 36b is set lower than that of the conductive layer 36a, heat is generated at the conductive layer 36a, and the heat is imparted to the toner 20 and the recording paper sheet 24 across a surface layer 36c. Therefore, the toner 20 is fixed on the recording paper sheet 24. Then, a microcomputer is connected with the power source device 30, and the power source device 30 is turned on/off by the microcomputer based on a detecting result of a temp. sensor 34. In other wards, the power source 30 is controlled so that the surface temp. of a fixing belt 36 is maintained between 170 and 190 deg.C. |
