PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor abnormality detector which enables the downsizing of the device at large and the reduction of cost and the reduction of current loss. SOLUTION: This is a stepping motor abnormality detector which detects the abnormality of a step motor for rotating a rotor, by cyclically exciting a plurality of coils constituting a stator. This has a comparator 22 which detects the voltage applied to each coil getting over a given voltage value, being connected to one end of the plural coils 11a, 11b, 11c, and 11d; and an abnormality judging means which judges that abnormality has occurred in the stepping motor, when the comparator 22 does not detect to exceed the given voltage immediately after the voltage applied cyclically to the coil is broken. |
