PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image distortion correcting system for forming a color image obtainable by detecting plural specified pattern images formed by the respective printing units of an image forming means based on the specified pattern image data. SOLUTION: The C, M, Y and K image data transferred from an image processing part are inputted in a tone reproducing part 500, and a gradation level is converted into pseudo 256-gradation data of three bits from eight bits. Next, the lag of developing timing in accordance with each photoreceptor interval is corrected in a plotting position control part 510. The C, M, Y and K test pattern data for detecting resist generated in a test data generation part 530 are simultaneously transferred to a paper carrying belt. Based on the detected result on color slurring, an image distortion correction part 540 corrects the main scanning magnification distortion and the subscanning bow distortion and skew distortion of C, M and Y components by interpolating processing by density distribution processing. Therefore, the error of an attaching position and the distortion of the image are simultaneously detected and corrected by one kind of image distortion sensor. |
