PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and continuously transfer the object data which require no real time performance by making at least one of a source node, a destination node and a controller discontinue the transfer of data. SOLUTION: A digital video recorder having 1394 interfaces is used as a source node 302 to secure a transfer function of the object data 308, and a printer having a function to receive the data 308 from the node 302 is used as a destination node 304. Meanwhile, a computer having 1394 interfaces is used as a controller 200, and one or more connections are set between the node 302 and one or more nodes 304 for management of the controller 200. These connections are set by the controller 200 when a transfer request is received for the data 308. When the connections are set, the data 308 are transferred between the nodes 302 and 304 with no control of the controller 200. Thus, the load of the controller 200 is reduced. |
