PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display panel, whose thickness is made thin and whose frame is narrowed by drastically reducing the number of connection points among external circuits, and a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: Pixel switching elements (thin-film transistors) are formed on an array substrate 11. Drive circuits 17, 18 are formed on the array substrate 11 by the same manufacturing process at that of the pixel switching elements (thin-film transistors). Moreover, an integrated circuit 30 having a function frequency-dividing a video signal is COG (chip-on-glass)-mounted on the array 11.
