COUPLING STRUCTURE BETWEEN AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT HOUSING BOX AND AIR-COOLING DUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To couple an exhaust duct with an exhaust hole formed in an automotive electronic unit housing box securely. SOLUTION: An exhaust duct 31 is coupled with the exhaust hole of an outer box which is attached to an inner box in which an electronic control unit is housed so as to form a cooling air circulation space. The coupling structure consists of a coupling part consisting of a coupling cylinder 22 made to protrude from a part of the inner circumferential edge of the exhaust hole and a guide part 24 made to protrude from an outer circumference which is apart from the remaining part of the inner circumferential edge by a predetermined distance. A tapered part which is inclined from its protruding end toward the inner circumferential edge of the exhaust hole is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the guide part 24. The exhaust duct 31 is guided by the tapered part of the guide part 24 for insertion.
