PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for lowering a resolution so as not to let interference stripes appear conspicuously. SOLUTION: Concerning the resolution reducing method for image information having a method for making one dot representative in a unit rectangle composed of four dots of two lateral dots and two longitudinal dots, in the case of display, storage or transfer while lowering the resolution of digital image information when digitizing image information while reading it through a scanner or the like with built-in line sensor or the like, the unit rectangle is further made into one group composed of four rectangles of two lateral rectangles and two longitudinal rectangles. In the case of making the representative dot into upper left, lower left, upper right and lower light in the order of respective upper left, lower left, upper right and lower right unit rectangles in this group or making the representative dot into upper left, lower left, lower right and upper right, all 16 kinds or one part of them is prepared and different kinds for each group are used so as not to provide just one kind. |
