摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce a multi-channel signal satisfactorily multiplexing a frequency even when the reception power of an optical receiver is lowered by converting an FM batch modulation signal to a pulse signal through a pulse signal converter and transmitting this signal while making the rise/fall of an FM batch modulation signal waveform steep. SOLUTION: A pulse signal converter 2 is provided on the poststage of an FM modulator 1 and the FM batch modulation signal simultaneously frequency modulated by the FM modulator 1 is converted to the pulse signal. After the rise/fall of the FM batch modulation signal is made steep by this conversion, this signal is optically transmitted through an optical modulator 3 to an optical transmission line 4. Then, the delay of the FM batch modulation signal received through the optical transmission line 4 by an optical receiver 5 is detected while using a flip-flop or AND gate and the frequency is demodulated. Thus, the FM batch modulation signal is previously converted to the pulse signal and the slope of rise or fall is made large so that jitter caused by strength noises can be reduced.
