PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-capacity lithium battery of which battery capacity is hardly reduced when charge and discharge are repeated. SOLUTION: In this lithium secondary battery wherein a sheet-like positive electrode 1 faces to a sheet-like negative electrode 2 interposing a separator 3, at least one sheet-like electrode out of the sheet-like positive electrode 1 and the sheet-like negative electrode 2 is composed by forming a film containing an active material and a binder on at least one surface of a conductive base, and an acrylic acid at least not forming a metal salt with a metal such as sodium is used for the binder. The binder is preferably formed from a polyacrylic acid not forming a metal acid such as a sodium acid and at least one kind selected from a group comprised of polyethylene glycol, polyethylene oxide, polypropylene glycol and polypropylene oxide. |
