PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved electric connector with a shutter capable of keeping force to the shutter in a balancing state, smoothly opening/closing the shutter, preventing a spring from becoming a hindrance to a contact point conductor of a connector or a plug and avoiding a danger of a short circuit. SOLUTION: An electric connector 10 has a shutter 124 moving in the plug inserting direction. This shutter 124 has a tab 142 sliding in a groove 116 of a front main body 12 and a slot 128 passing through on the tail part 44 of a contact point 51 in a plug receiving chamber 110. The shutter 124 is moved to rearward of the chamber 110 when a plug is inserted, and is bias-returned by a spring 126 so as to close the chamber 110 when the plug is pulled out. The spring 126 is formed of a pair of mutually connected Z-shaped parts 145.
