PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obtain the sure and stable contact state with a developing roller, etc., even if the developing roller, etc., are hard by forming a thin-walled cylindrical base body which is formed with an image carrier layer on its surface and has flexibility by drawing as a finale stage. SOLUTION: A slug 41 is set in a die 50. Impact is applied to this slug 41 by means of a punch 51. The slug 41 is then instantaneously flattened and a cylindrical body 42 is formed. When the punch 51 is pulled up next, the top end 42a of the cylindrical body 42 comes into contact with a stopper 52 and the cylindrical body 42 is disengaged from the punch 51 and the cylindrical body 42 is obtd. The thus resulted cylindrical body 42 is subjected to drawing and thereafter, the end 42b on the slug 41 side and the top end side end 42c are cut at cutting lines C1, C2, by which the base body 40 is obtd. When the developing roller, etc., are brought into contact with this cylindrical body, the base body 40 is formed to a shape initially bulged in its central portion 40b and, therefore, the incidence that the contact pressure of the central portion 40b and the developing roller, etc., diminishes is prevented. |
