PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuning fork vibrator for increasing the amplitude of the vibration of a tuning fork and a vibration gyro for improving a detection sensitivity by mounting this sort of turning-fork type vibrator. SOLUTION: A vibrator 1a for constituting a tuning-fork type vibrator 1 is provided with a pair of arm parts 2a and 2b that oppose each other via a first cut groove 4a. A second cut groove 4b is formed at the arm parts 2a and 2b, and detection parts 5a and 5b and vibration parts 6a and 6b are formed. By increasing the mass of upper parts 6a1 and 6b1 for constituting the vibration parts 6a and 6b, the upper parts 6a1 and 6b1 can be allowed to function effectively as a weight when a tuning fork vibrates, thus increasing the amplitude of tuning fork vibration and hence increasing the coriolis force being generated at the detection parts 5a and 5b. |
