PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on the manager of a paper money housing device and to improve the reliability of the device by dissolving a jam and enabling the normal operation of the device when the jam occurs in the middle of receiving money. SOLUTION: This paper money housing device is provided with a housing chamber for housing paper money, a reject part for holding the paper money causing the jam and a carrying means for carrying the paper money between the housing chamber and the reject part.
