The device comprises an electrode belt (100) with one or several electrodes (111), a band (200) with connecting heads (205) for holding the belt to the chest of a person, and one or several gaps (112) which comprise an aperture (114) and one or several support structures (113). The support structures extend on the same side as the electrodes, whereby the connecting head is to be passed through from one side of the electrode belt, to the opposite side which comprises the electrode, so that the connecting head can be inserted in the gap.
