The cap, made e.g. from plastic, consists of a plate (2) with flat rear (3) and front (4) faces, and a series of elastic vanes (5) projecting in a ring from the rear face to fit over the bottle neck. The front face of the plate acts as a support for an identification label, while its rear face has reinforcing elements (12) for the vanes. The vanes have lugs on their inner faces to grip the bottle neck and keep the plate perpendicular to the axis of the bottle.
