Superconductor structure useful for h.f. components, strip conductors, active electronic components and SQUID measuring devices

A superconductor structure, comprising a substrate (1) bearing a perforated high temperature superconductor film (3), is new. In a structure comprising a substrate (1) bearing a superconductor film (3) which has through-holes (4) of 50-2000 nm radius (r), the superconductor is a high temperature superconductor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) an h.f. component including the above structure; (ii) a monolithic h.f. circuit including the above structure, the substrate (1) being a semiconductor substrate on which an IC is formed; (iii) an electrical conductor comprising the above structure; (iv) an active electronic component including the above structure; and (v) a measuring arrangement including the above active electronic component. Preferred Features: The superconductor is formed of a YBa2Cu3O7 material.
