The bolt for anchoring refractory masses to a metal surface has a spherical hollow (2) at the end to be joined by welding, and two cylindrical end sections (1, 4). The bolt is characterised by a middle section (3) taking the form of a truncated cone with end diameters corresponding to the diameters of the respective adjoining cylindrical sections. The cylindrical end section opposite to the end section with the hollow (2) has a sufficient length for clamping and for welding current delivery.
