The back-bearing (8) is made up of a bearing sleeve (10) standing at right angles to the clamping direction to take an arrestable back-bolt (9) moving arrestably in the clamping direction. The sleeve (10) has a collar-shaped bearing surface (21) on the side facing the damping table and the main clamp shoe (1) has a step (15) on the work-facing inside in the insertion position so the step engages the collar face (21) on sleeve (10). The back-sleeve (10) can be fixed axially by means of a disk (11) on the non-work side and a snapring (12). The back-bolt (9) rides via its outside thread in the threadway of the sleeve (10) and is fitted with a keying boss (23) on the non-work side in the insertion position. The bolt (9) bears on the work via a releasable foot (14) whose angle round the bolt (9) axis can be varied typically by means of a ball-joint (13).
