<p>The invention relates to a sleeve joint, comprising an expanded connecting sleeve (3, 3') which is configured for receiving an inserted pipe end (1). Starting from a particular pipe diameter (4), the enlargement runs cylindrically parallel to a straight wall section of the inserted pipe end (1) in a first section (5). In a second section (7) which is bent outwards, it forms a ring-shaped receiving chamber (8) together with the inserted pipe end (1). The inventive sleeve joint also comprises a ring-shaped sealing element (9) which grips the free end (13) of the sleeve (3, 3') axially, from behind with a peripheral projection (10), said projection projecting radially outwards, and which protrudes into the receiving chamber (8) with an essentially cylindrical ring body (14). The ring body is configured in such a way that it rests in the receiving chamber (8) with prestress and is also supported on the inserted pipe end (1) and on the sleeve wall of the receiving chamber (8). The inventive sleeve joint is both mechanically stable and reliably vacuum tight since the cylindrical ring body (14) extends into the first section (5) of the sleeve (3, 3') with material thickness which is at least equal to the space between the wall sections (6) which run parallel to each other there.</p> |
