<p>A low power transmitter for use in a vehicle security system includes an oscillator that is isolated from a transmitter antenna. An amplifier (48) is coupled between the oscillator (46) and the antenna (50) to achieve the isolation. The amplifier (48) and the oscillator (46) are tied to a single signal source so that each is initiated at the same time. The amplifier (48) has a faster turn-on time than the oscillator (46) so that the amplifier (48) is fully operational at the instant it receives an output signal from the oscillator (46). The amplifier (48) amplifies the single frequency of the oscillator (46) and that amplified signal is transmitted by the antenna (50) to a controller (34), which responsively controls the vehicle security system.</p> |
