The heating arrangement (2,3,4) warms the housing (1) of a data entry device, operated by hand, to a physiologically advantageous temp. The arrangement can be built into a data entry device such as a mouse, a joystick or a tracker ball. The housing can be externally heated, e.g. by building the arrangement into a mouse pad, to an adjustable temperature.
