A decorative display apparatus (5) comprises a transparent, liquid water filled display positionable in an inanimate object (3). The liquid display includes a one-piece, molded plastic base (23) having inner (31) and outer (33) concentric rings extending from its front surface (25). A semi-spherical transparent enclosure (7) made of hard or deformable plastic overlies a portion of the front surface, with lower edges (43) of the enclosure being sealingly connected (45) to the front surface (25) between the rings. Decorative objects (46) and water having miniature objects suspended therein fill the cavity defined by the front surface (25) of the base and the inner walls of the enclosure. Holes (61) for receiving connector, such as thread, are provided along the outer flange portion (27) of the base. The liquid display is positioned in an opening (21) provided in the inanimate object (3). The inner surface of the inanimate object surrounding the opening (21) engages the outer flange (27) portion of the base (23), securing the display to the inanimate object (3). |
