<p>A spiral reverse osmosis membrane element comprising a plurality of bag-shaped reverse osmosis membranes, transmission liquid flow path materials disposed inside the reverse osmosis membranes and a plurality of supply liquid flow path materials disposed between the reverse osmosis membranes, all of which are wound on the outer periphery surface of a hollow pipe having through holes in the surface thereof so that the inner portions of the reverse osmosis membranes only communicate with the through holes, wherein the supply liquid flow path materials comprise mesh bodies having continuous quadrilateral meshes formed by plurality of mutually crossing linear materials, a pair of opposing crossings out of four crossings of a quadrilateral mesh are arranged in parallel to the axis direction of the hollow pipe and relations, 2 mm≤X≤ 5 mm and X≤Y≤ 1.8X, are simultaneously satisfied, where X; an interval between the crossings in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the hollow pipe and Y; an interval between the crossings in the direction of the axis.</p> |
