Test to check the working order of cable car sensors

To test the sensors (1) at the cable of a cable car system, which register the position of the car rollers (3) in relation to the cable (2), the sensors (1) are mechanically dampened and/or relaxed. A test piece (4) is used to vary the gap between the sensors (1) and the cable (2), near the rollers (3). The test piece (4) is secured to the cable (2), so that all the rollers (3) pass over it. A material to relax the sensor damping can be incorporated into the test piece (4), such as a ferrite insert.
