PROPYLENE/ETHYLENE BLOCK COPOLYMER

A propylene/ethylene block copolymer satisfying the following requirements (a), (b), (c1), (c2), and (c3) or requirements (a), (b), (c1), and (c4) and excellent in rigidity and impact resistance: (a) the melt flow rate is 0.01 to 1,000 g/10 min; (b) the [mmmm] content in the ordinary-temperature xylene-insoluble components is 98.9 % or higher; (c1) the content of ordinary-temperature xylene-soluble components is 3 to 50 wt.%; (c2) in the soluble components, the pulse NMR relaxation time T1 is attributable to a single component; (c3) the soluble components satisfy the relationship y-0.0897x<2>-1.0593x+231.6, wherein x is the ethylene content thereof as determined by <13>C-NMR (wt.%) and y is the relaxation time T1 (msec); and (c4) the soluble components satisfy the relationship z-0.069x-1.34, wherein z is the proportion of the crystalline polyethylene components therein (wt.%).
