FUEL OIL ADDITIVE AND FUEL OIL COMPOSITION

A fuel oil additive which comprises (a) an alkenylsuccinimide compound, an alkylsuccinimide compound, or a boron adduct of either and (b) a lubricant and has a 90 % running point of 320 DEG C or higher, and which may further contain (c) a low-temperature flowability improver; and a fuel oil composition comprising a fuel oil and the additive added thereto. When added especially to a light oil reduced in sulfur content, the additive has excellent performances in lubricating a fuel injection pump and in cleansing fuel injection nozzles.
