A system for cutting strip feed material into selected lengths has a roller track (1) to guide the strip material against end stops (7). A cutter (5) moves over the roller track and cuts the strip into the required lengths. After cutting the end stops are retracted and transverse conveyors (11) lift the cut lengths clear of the roller track and move them laterally for packaging, etc.
