<p>A library of query templates and a dictionary (110) that relates keywords to more abstract concepts are first prepared on a computer system. A query is generated by entering into the system one or more keywords (120). Each keyword is abstracted to a concept (130). Each concept may be further refined (140). Next, for the concepts that are obtained, the system finds all the query templates are then instantiated with those concepts (150).
