Lighting armature containing a box (1) and at least one arm (4), characterised in that at least the arm (4) is made of plastic but is reinforced with a reinforcement provided therein. The arm (4), or every arm (4) if there are several, and the box (1) are separate elements and the box (1) and the arm (4) have co-operating coupling elements (11, 19-20-21 respectively) for coupling the arm (4) to the box (1).
