Compsn. according to DT 1922038 is improved in that it consists of an aqs. emulsion of a plurality of unsaturated, pref. partly saponified, liquid fatty acids contg. >10C atoms. The use of a mixture of fatty acids gives a less viscous emulsion than that described in the Parent Patent, and improves its sizing and hydrophobic properties. The composn. is suitable for sizing paper, cardboard, fibreboard, or the like.
