PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-tight mechanism of an air-tight container with which the top end face of packing provided movably close to or away from a counter surface can be pulled-in even when a pulling means for pulling-in the top end face of the packing is not operated because of a power failure or the like in the case of the state that the top end face of the packing is extruded and abutted on the counter surface. SOLUTION: This mechanism is provided with a pressing means for extruding the top end face of packing 60 of which a part is inserted slidably into a recessed groove 58 in the counter surface direction so that the top end face is abutted on the counter surface, a pressure reducing means such as a vacuum pump 30 for separating the top end face of the packing 60 in the abutted state on this counter surface from the counter surface and a three-way motor valve 42 as a switching means for switching the pressing means and the pressure reducing means. A pressure reduction tank 72 is provided as an emergency separating means for separating the top end face of the packing 60 from the abutting face when the pressure reducing means such as the vacuum pump 30 is not operated because of a power failure or the like in the case of the state that the top end face of the packing 60 is abutted on the counter surface by the pressing means. |
