<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the generation of a roll eccentricity by measuring a plate thickness when a hot rolling plate becomes a fixed speed state, applying the data of FFT(fast fourier transform) on line and comparing the results to the specific frequency of each stand. SOLUTION: A hot rolling steel plate 10 is rolled by plural finish rolling mills constituting of a back up roll 1 and a work roll 2. Before the hot rolling plate is rolled, a specific frequency f (Hr)=V/2πR of each stand in a fixed speed state are obtained. Wherein V=a threading speed (m/sec), R=a back up roll diameter (m). While the hot rolling plate 10 enters a fixed speed region and finishes, the plate thickness is measured by a plate thickness meter 3 and a controller 5 collects the data. The data are applied to FFT in a computer 6 and compared to the specific frequency of the each stand. It is discriminated that the stand which has the same specific frequency as a frequency having a large amplitude, generates eccentririty.</p> |
