<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medium for artificial insemination useful for mammals such as cattle, etc., capable of inducing the acrosome reaction of a sperm by previously culturing a sperm to be inseminated and controlling the same sperm fertilizing capacity as BSA(bovine serum albumin) by including cyclodextrin derivative. SOLUTION: This medium for artificial insemination contains preferably <=2 mM, more preferably 0.5-1.0 mM cyclodextrin derivative such as a methylated derivative ofβ-cyclodextrin comprising 7 glucose residues, etc. Preferably a sperm before insemination is previously cultured by using the medium for artificial insemination to carry out artificial insemination.</p> |
