<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow miter cut machining and straight cut machining by providing a miter cut section cutting the edge section of a band edge to cross it diagonally and a straight cut section cutting the edge section in the width direction to form a cutting tool for cutting the band edge called a Thomson edge. SOLUTION: Cutting edges 31, 41 and fitting piece sections to a drive mechanism are integrally formed on a pair of right and left edge members 3, 4 respectively. Each of the cutting edges 31, 41 is divided into two in the longitudinal direction, the upper segment is used as a miter cut section M cutting the edge section of a band edge 1 to cross it diagonally, and the lower segment is used as a straight cut section S cutting the edge section of the band edge 1 straightly in the width direction. Pillow sections 33, 43 inclined along the surface of the sharp edge section 13 of the band edge 1 and straight line sections 34, 44 continued to them are formed on the miter cut section M. Inclined pillow sections 35, 44 and straight line sections 36, 46 continued to them are likewise formed on the straight cut section S.</p> |
