PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polymer gel useful as gel substrate for being adhered to or contacted with a living body in being applied to percutaneous preparations, bioelectrodes, etc. SOLUTION: When a copolymer obtained by the copolymerization of a polymerizable monomer having a leaving group in its side chain and a comonomer soluble in water and/or an alcohol is dissolved in a solvent at least containing water, the copolymer of this invention has, in the copolymer, structural units having plural leaving groups capable of crosslinking and the self- crosslinking copolymer solution is subjected to crosslinking treatment, followed by the addition of ingredients having efficacy of a medicine or electrolytes to obtain polymer gel containing it. The copolymer can have other comonomer having no deprotonation groups in its side chain as the structural units of the copolymer. The copolymer solution can contain a polyhydric alcohol. |
